Yacht availability
Hamilton Island confirms its fireworks arrangements closer to the date. We position Impulsive for the best view from the water once they are published.
From the water
Why it's best from the water
The islands are at their quietest at the turn of the year. One yacht, one anchorage and a sky that belongs to you.
Impulsive is the only yacht in the managed fleet that carries eighty on deck, so the whole party is together in one place: dinner on the aft deck, the sun deck spa for the sunset and the fireworks watched from the bow.
The next morning there is no traffic to beat. Breakfast is served at anchor and the first swim of the year is off the swim platform.

Questions
Before you book
How far ahead should we book?
Christmas and New Year in the Whitsundays is confirmed well ahead, usually by mid year. Ask early and we can tell you whether the night or the full week is still open.
How many guests can come?
Impulsive carries up to 80 guests by day and sleeps 12 overnight. For New Year's Eve most parties stay aboard, so the overnight count applies unless day guests are tendered ashore after the fireworks.
Can we see the fireworks from the yacht?
Yes. Impulsive anchors with a clear line to the display. Positions are confirmed once Hamilton Island publishes its arrangements for the night.
Where do we board?
Hamilton Island marina is the usual boarding point, with direct flights from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. Airlie Beach is the alternative.
