The story
How the house
was built
-
01 October 2022
Where it started
A forty metre Mondomarine, bought by Jordan Grives in October 2022 to run as a working charter yacht on Australia’s east coast. Impulsive was the first yacht we managed, and she taught us most of what we know.
-
02 2023
Learning the hard way
Interiors, systems, teak, flybridge and crew quarters, refitted from the keel up before she relaunched in August 2023. Every decision in that refit, from what guests notice to what they never should, shaped how we look at a yacht now.

03 The crews
Lived, not learned
Running a yacht ourselves meant building a crew ourselves. Captain and engineer on rotation, a private chef in the galley, eight crew aboard Impulsive. Most of our team came straight off the yachts, and that’s the difference between knowing the standard and setting it.
-
04 Home waters
The east coast, then the Pacific
Sydney, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Whitsundays, Lizard Island and Fiji. Surfing Cloudbreak, chasing marlin off Far North Queensland, diving the reef. These are the waters that made us believe Australia and the South Pacific should be a first-choice charter region, and that we should be the name behind it.

05 The catalogue
Then the world
What we learned aboard one yacht became Charter Yacht.com. Every yacht we manage gets its own identity, story and content, not just a listing. And as broker as well as central agent, when the right yacht for a trip isn’t one of ours, we find it, from Sydney to the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, at the central agent’s published rate. If a yacht would not carry our own family, it does not carry our name.

06 The measure
They come back
Eight in ten guests who chartered with us in 2024 booked again for 2025. That’s the standard set aboard our first yacht, and the one every yacht we manage is held to.
