The Boardroom Does Its Best Work at Anchor
Product launches, client days, milestones that deserve better than a function room, how event chartering works, what it costs, and why the water outperforms the venue every time.
By the Charter Yacht.com team
Every city has a hundred venues and they are all the same room with different flowers. A yacht is the alternative that does not have a substitute: a private, moving, catered platform that turns an event into the thing people mention a year later. The format is more accessible than its reputation suggests.
The formats
The event day is the workhorse: guests board mid-morning, the yacht works the harbour or the Broadwater, lunch is served under way, and the afternoon belongs to the sun deck. Impulsive carries eighty guests by day, enough for a serious launch, while Lumir takes fifty-five and Sunset and Sea Raes around thirty-four each for the more deliberate guest list. In Sydney, the hourly format on Sea Raes makes a client sunset a two-hour commitment instead of a full-day production.
No one leaves a yacht early. It is the only venue where the exits work in the host's favour.
What the crew handles
Catering from canapés to plated dinners, bar service, AV for the fifteen minutes of speeches that justify the day, wharf logistics for guest boarding, and the run of the event itself. Your team hosts; ours operates. Branding aboard, photographers, entertainment, all routine requests.
The honest economics
Price an eighty-guest day against a comparable premium venue with catering, staffing and production, and the water is closer than most people expect, and it is the version nobody forgets. Tell us the date, the headcount and the occasion at the enquiry desk, and we will send back the whole picture on one page.
